Subtle skeleton watch

skeleton watch is a mechanical watch in which the moving parts are visible. This may be through either the front of the watch, the back of the watch or a small cut outlining the dial.
There are many skeleton watches out there, most of them beautifully crafted. Always have been a huge fan of skeleton watches because of not only by its beauty but also by what it represents “The transparency”.
But somehow  I personally found them little bit too much and little bit too distracting to expose too much of its internal parts. Every time I wanted to check the time, I easily get distracted by admiring watching those many tiny gears moving in perfect synchronicity and harmony,  and ended up forgetting the reason why I looked at my wrist in first place.
I wanted to create something little bit subtle but also being able to appreciate the beauty of the mechanical movement if wanted to. So I added a little bit of color hue on natural glass dial. And that hue of color was added by manual brush strokes giving different personalities on every watches.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? It is subjective understandably.
But this is the way I wanted our skeleton watches to be.

Titanium Case

I would say over 90% of luxury watches these days uses stainless 316L for their cases. It has indeed excellent mechanical and physical properties like tensile strength, hardness,  corrosion resistance etc.  And it sure looks shiny. It kind of looks like silver or platinum but without having any of its shortcomings. But titanium is gaining its popularity in modern era.  Titanium exceeds in many areas against its counter part stainless steel. And it’s lighter. Many would argue that hefty weight makes watch feel more luxurious but I personally believe lighter is always better living on earth with its force called gravity. So that’s why material choice for this tool watch is titanium.

I will be launching more dressy watch in near future, and it makes sense to me to use stainless 316L for that model because it just looks more classy, shiny and dressy, but for tool watch

Genuine Japanese Movement

Movement in a mechanical watch is like engines in automobiles. It’s the most important part of mechanical watch. It’s the part that gives beats and life in mechanical watches. In my personal opinion, there are three power-house countries when it comes to watch makings.  Switzerland, Japan and Germany. Switzerland being most well known and luxurious, Japan for its craftmanship and its ground breaking impact by introducing quartz movement and others. And Germany for its high precision engineering mindset. My intention is to use only movements that come from only these three countries.  And this particular model is using the famous miyota 8N24 movement that is created for skeleton watches in mind.
